Keto Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe

Keto Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe – Easy No Churn Low Carb Ice Cream – Simple Desserts with 4 ingredients.

Keto chocolate ice cream

Keto Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe

This Keto chocolate ice cream recipe is a rich, decadent dessert that’s no churn – so you don’t need an ice cream maker to enjoy your own homemade ice cream.

Folding together ice cream ingredients

There are only 4 ingredients in this ice cream:

4 Eggs – the eggs need to be separated, which you can do by cracking the egg over a bowl and placing the whites in one bowl and yolks in another. As this dessert does contain raw eggs, be sure you’re using fresh eggs and refrain from giving it to children, the elderly, those with weakened immunity or pregnant.

1/2 Cup Stevia – for sweetness, stevia is my go to sweetener. You can use whatever sweetener you like and include more or less depending on how sweet you’d like your ice cream to be. (Find stevia on Amazon.)

Cream – use heavy, whipping, double or whatever cream you can whip to thickened whipped cream.

Cocoa Powder – for the chocolate element cocoa powder is used. You can use cacao powder instead if that’s what you have. (Find cocoa powder on Amazon.)

Low Carb Lemon Mousse

Low Carb Lemon Mousse Recipe – Easy No Bake Keto Desserts with 4 ingredients including cream cheese and heavy whipping cream – with the video.

Low carb lemon mousse recipe - easy keto desserts

Low Carb Lemon Mousse Recipe

This low carb lemon mousse tastes like a zesty lemon cheesecake, yet takes almost no effort to prepare.

For the cream, use whatever cream you can whip into fluffy whipped cream. That may be called heavy, double or whipping cream, depending where you are.

Whisking ingredients together

It’s up to you how many carbs you want to allocate to your mousse. So go for the zest and juice of 1/2 to 1 lemon. I like to grate my lemon using a small, microplane grater and squeeze the juice over a sieve to catch any pips.

Stevia is my sweetener of choice and we like our lemon desserts quite sour, so 2 tablespoons works for us. If you’d prefer a sweeter mousse then go for 4 tablespoons. (Or more. ) And, use whatever sweetener you usually use as part of your diet. (Here are more easy keto cream cheese desserts.)

Whisking lemon zest into whipped cream and cream cheese

Keto Lemon Mousse Recipe

  • 1 Cup Cream (Heavy, Double or Whipping)
  • 1/2 Cup Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2-4 Tablespoons Stevia
  • 1/2 to 1 Lemon – juice and zest
  1. Pour the cream into a large bowl.
  2. Using an electric beater, whip the cream until thickened.
  3. Add in the cream cheese and stevia.
  4. Whip until fully incorporated and creamy.
  5. Grate over the lemon zest, using a microplane grater, and squeeze the lemon over a sieve to catch any pips.
  6. Whip in the lemon zest and juice until smooth.
  7. Taste the mousse and add more stevia, if needed.
  8. Place the lemon mousse to a serving bowl and move into the fridge for a few hours to thicken, then enjoy.

Chocolate Mousse With Cream Cheese Recipe

November 22, 2019 by Easy Keto Living

Chocolate Mousse With Cream Cheese Recipe – with just 4 ingredients! A rich, creamy keto chocolate cheesecake mousse that’s ready in minutes.

Jump to Recipe
Keto chocolate mousse with cream cheese recipe

Chocolate Mousse With Cream Cheese Recipe

If you love chocolate cheesecake, you’re going to love this chocolate mousse with cream cheese. It’s rich, creamy and chocolatey, but there’s no cheesecake crust and no baking required.

This easy keto chocolate mousse needs just 4 simple ingredients and takes only a few minutes to prepare. Whipped cream gives it a light, fluffy texture while softened cream cheese adds that delicious cheesecake flavour.

It’s a great low carb and sugar-free dessert for when you want something sweet without spending ages in the kitchen.

Serve the chocolate cream cheese mousse in small dessert glasses or ramekins and refrigerate until chilled. It’s especially good topped with a little whipped cream, grated dark chocolate or a dusting of cocoa powder.

Why you’ll love this recipe

  • 4 ingredients
  • No baking required
  • Ready in minutes
  • Rich chocolate cheesecake flavour
  • Low carb and keto friendly
  • Easy to make ahead
  • Perfect for Valentine’s Day or dinner parties

The Simple Ingredients For The Easy Recipe

Spoon of mousse

You only need four simple ingredients to make this creamy chocolate mousse.

Cream

Use heavy cream, whipping cream or double cream that can be whipped to soft or stiff peaks.

Cocoa Powder

Unsweetened cocoa powder gives the mousse its rich chocolate flavour. For the best result, use a good-quality unsweetened cocoa powder.

Stevia

I use stevia to sweeten this dessert, but you can use your preferred powdered keto-friendly sweetener. The amount you need will depend on the sweetness of your particular sweetener.

Cream Cheese

Use full-fat cream cheese for the richest and creamiest mousse. Let it soften to room temperature before mixing so that it blends smoothly into the whipped cream.

Chocolate Mousse Variations

There are several easy ways to change up this chocolate cream cheese mousse.

Chocolate Orange Mousse

Add a little finely grated orange zest to the mixture for a chocolate-orange flavour.

Chocolate Peppermint Mousse

Add a tiny amount of peppermint extract for a chocolate mint dessert.

Extra Chocolatey Mousse

Add a little more unsweetened cocoa powder for a darker chocolate flavour. You may need additional sweetener to balance the bitterness.

Chocolate Cheesecake Mousse Cups

Layer the mousse into small glasses with a little crushed keto-friendly biscuit or low carb cookie for a dessert inspired by chocolate cheesecake.

If you love creamy chocolate desserts, try my Chocolate Ricotta Mousse, which is a quick, yet indulgent, 3-ingredient dessert.

How To Make Chocolate Mousse With Cream Cheese

Whipping chocolate mousse with cream cheese

1. Whip the cream

Pour the whipping cream into a large mixing bowl and use an electric mixer to whip until thickened and beginning to form soft peaks.

2. Add the cocoa and sweetener

Add the unsweetened cocoa powder and powdered sweetener. Whisk briefly until the cocoa and sweetener are evenly incorporated.

3. Add the cream cheese

Make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature. Add it to the chocolate cream mixture and beat until smooth, creamy and fluffy.

4. Chill

Spoon the mousse into small serving glasses or ramekins. Refrigerate for a few hours before serving so the mousse becomes thicker and more chilled.

For an extra-special presentation, pipe the mousse into individual glasses using a piping bag and decorate with whipped cream or a little grated chocolate.

Feel free to double the recipe to serve a crowd at a dinner party as the perfect dessert that’s keto diet friendly.

This makes enough for 4 small portions, which is perfect as it’s wonderfully rich and the perfect way to end a meal, especially on a special occasion like Valentine’s Day.

What Does Chocolate Mousse With Cream Cheese Taste Like?

This chocolate mousse has a rich, creamy chocolate flavour with a delicious cheesecake-like tang from the cream cheese.

The whipped cream makes the mousse light and fluffy, while cocoa powder gives it a deep chocolate flavour. Adding cream cheese makes it thicker and gives it the taste of a chocolate cheesecake without the crust or baking.

Because it’s such a rich dessert, small servings are usually enough.

Tips For Making The Best Chocolate Cream Cheese Mousse

Let the cream cheese soften first. Cold cream cheese is harder to incorporate and can leave small lumps in the mousse.

Don’t over-whip the cream. Whip until thickened and fluffy rather than continuing to beat it excessively.

Use powdered sweetener. A powdered sweetener will blend into the mousse more easily than a coarse granulated sweetener.

Taste before chilling. Sweeteners vary in strength, so taste the mousse before transferring it to the fridge and add more sweetener if needed.

Chill before serving. The mousse becomes thicker and more cheesecake-like after several hours in the refrigerator.

Make individual portions. Small glasses or ramekins are perfect because this is a rich dessert.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make chocolate mousse with cream cheese?

Yes. Cream cheese works particularly well in chocolate mousse because it adds richness and a cheesecake-like flavour while also helping create a thick, creamy dessert.

Is chocolate mousse with cream cheese keto?

This recipe can fit a keto or low carb diet when made with a keto-friendly sweetener and unsweetened cocoa powder. Check the nutrition information for the specific ingredients and brands you use.

Can I make this chocolate mousse ahead of time?

Yes. This mousse is ideal for making ahead. Prepare it several hours before serving and keep it refrigerated until you’re ready to eat it.

How long does chocolate cream cheese mousse last in the fridge?

Store the mousse covered in the refrigerator and use it within a few days. For the best texture and flavour, I recommend serving it within 2–3 days.

Can I freeze chocolate mousse with cream cheese?

You can freeze it, although the texture may change slightly after thawing. For the creamiest mousse, refrigeration is preferable.

Can I use mascarpone instead of cream cheese?

Yes. Mascarpone can be used for an even richer and milder chocolate mousse. The flavour will be less tangy than when using cream cheese.

Can I use a different sweetener?

Yes. You can use your preferred powdered sugar alternative. Sweeteners vary in sweetness, so start with a smaller amount and adjust to taste.

Why is my chocolate mousse too runny?

The mousse may be too runny if the cream wasn’t whipped enough, the cream cheese was too soft, or the mousse hasn’t had enough time to chill. Refrigerating it for several hours should help it firm up.

What can I serve with chocolate mousse?

Serve it on its own or top with whipped cream, grated dark chocolate, cocoa powder, chopped nuts or a few fresh berries. Choose toppings according to your preferred low carb or keto approach.

Recommended Kitchen Tools

Here are a few kitchen tools that make this chocolate cream cheese mousse even easier to prepare:

  • Electric hand mixer – Makes whipping the cream quick and easy.
  • Large mixing bowl – Gives you plenty of room to whip the cream without making a mess.
  • Fine-mesh sieve – Helps incorporate the cocoa powder smoothly without lumps.
  • Silicone spatula – Handy for scraping every last bit of mousse from the mixing bowl.
  • Piping bags and tips – Great for creating neat individual portions when serving the mousse for guests.

Easy Keto Chocolate Cake Recipe – Low Carb Birthday Cake – Ketogenic Diet Cake Recipes with coconut flour plus the video tutorial.

Easy Keto Chocolate Cake Recipe - great for birthdays

Easy Keto Chocolate Cake Recipe

This easy keto chocolate cake recipe has been the perfect dessert for all my family birthdays and celebrations through the past year.

It’s super simple to put together and is rich and chocolatey. You just pop all of the cake ingredients into a bowl and whisk until you have a chocolate cake batter.

Mixing together the ingredients for cake

I tend to take the butter out of the fridge first thing in the morning and let it come to room temperature so that it’s softened enough to whisk into the chocolate cake by mid morning/afternoon.

The chocolate cake is rich and wonderfully dark. If you’d prefer a sweeter cake then just increase the stevia to make it as sweet as you’d like.

Then, pour the batter into a cake tin and bake in the oven until done.

Chocolate cake covered with keto chocolate frosting

Once the cake is out of the oven and cooled, make the easy chocolate frosting and smother the cake in the rich chocolate covering.

If you’d like a bigger cake, then simply double the recipe and stack two cakes on top of each other.

Keto Cheesecake Recipe – Easy Low Carb Sugar Free Crustless Cheesecake with stevia, cream cheese, cream and coconut flour.

How to make an easy keto cheesecake recipe

Keto Cheesecake Recipe

Thie easy keto cheesecake recipe is inspired by the Cheesecake Recipe Video on the Bon Appetit YouTube Channel.

All I had to do was switch the refined sugar and flour for stevia and coconut flour and the recipe is easily keto adapted.

You simply whisk all of the ingredients together in one bowl, pour it all into a prepared cake tin and then bake until golden but still wobbly.

I’ve since made the cheesecake multiple times and am still always amazed at just how easy it is to prepare.

Easy sugar free crustless cheesecake recipes

This cheesecake is crustless, but you’ll discover that you don’t miss it at all.

Make sure that you overlap the baking paper in the cake tin because the cheesecake tends to rise up while baking and you don’t want it to get stuck.

I’ve used stevia as my sweetener of choice, but you can feel free to use whatever you usually use to sweeten your low carb desserts.

And, feel free to use more or less of the sugar that’s listed in the recipe. It’s the perfect sweetness for me – but you may want your cheesecake a little sweeter.

You can serve the easy keto cheesecake warmed, straight from the oven. Or, allow it to cool completely, refrigerate and enjoy chilled from the fridge.

Low Carb Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Low Carb Chocolate Mousse Recipe With Only 3 Keto Diet Friendly Ingredients – Easy Sugar Free Desserts with cocoa powder, stevia and cream.

Low carb chocolate mousse with keto ingredients

Low Carb Chocolate Mousse

This low carb chocolate mousse has just 3 ingredients and comes together in mere minutes.

In the past I’ve shared a dairy free chocolate mousse recipe and this one is full of rich, luxurious cream.

I like making a rich chocolate mousse every Friday to enjoy slowly as a sweet treat over the weekend.

How To Make This Decadent Dessert

Ingredients for keto mousse

To make the decadent dessert, simply whisk the cream until thickened. You can use double, heavy or whipping cream – whatever you can easily whip to thick whipped cream.

I use a whole carton of cream which is 500ml or just shy of 17 ounces, which makes enough chocolate mousse to last the whole weekend.

Then, add in the cocoa or cacao powder for the chocolate flavor. I tend to add in two tablespoons, but feel free to add more (or less) depending on how chocolatey you want it.

Whisking cream and cocoa powder

For sweetness, stevia is a my go to sugar alternative. Add in 1-2 tablespoons, or more to make the mousse as sweet as you like. You can use whatever you usually use as a sweetener.

Whisk the cocoa powder and stevia into the whipped cream until smooth.

Then, move the chocolate mousse to a bowl, move to the fridge for a few hours to thicken and enjoy.

You could also top the low carb chocolate mousse with whipped cream and strawberries for an extra indulgent dessert.

Low Carb Chocolate Milk Recipe

August 20, 2019 by Easy Keto Living

Low Carb Chocolate Milk Recipe – The Best Easy Dairy Free Keto & Vegan Friendly Chocolate Milkshake with unsweetened cocoa powder, coconut milk and stevia.

Healthy Chocolate Milk with Coconut Milk

This low carb chocolate milk tastes like a sweet, creamy, decadent chocolate milkshake – but without the sugars.

I’ve been experimenting and tweaking the recipe for a couple of weeks. Trying different milks and chocolate quantities until I developed the perfect chocolate milk that I just can’t get enough of!

How To Make Low Carb Chocolate Milk

Making a creamy chocolate milk is really easy with just a few ingredients – coconut milk, cocoa powder and stevia.

Coconut Milk – I use canned coconut milk – the full fat variety. I find that it’s quite rich and you only need a quarter of a cup of coconut milk and then add 3/4 cup of water for the perfect milky consistency.

If you’d prefer, you could use a whole cup from a carton of almond milk instead. (Which is mostly water – hence why water plus canned coconut milk works so well!)

Cocoa Powder – I use unsweetened cocoa powder that’s rich and chocolatey. You could use cacao powder instead for an even more intense chocolate flavour.

Stevia – stevia is my sweetener of choice. You can feel free to use whatever sweetener you usually use instead. I’ve suggest a half a tablespoon to a tablepoon – use as much as you like for the perfect sweetness for you.

Easy Keto Brownies Recipe – How to make simple dark chocolate brownies that are low carb, dairy free, paleo and that are the BEST Keto Dessert.

    Freshly baked easy keto brownies

    Easy Keto Brownies Recipe

When you’re after a dark, chocolatey baked treat that’s easy to prepare, this keto brownies recipe is perfect.

These brownies also happen to be completely dairy free too, so if you’re following a dairy free diet or want a sweet treat without dairy then this will fit the bill too.

These brownies are as easy as combining the chocolate and coconut oil together over a low heat and melting until smooth.

    Low Carb Brownies Recipe

Then, stir through the remaining ingredients until you have a beautiful brownie batter. Bake your brownies for 10 to 15 minutes for chewy brownies or 15 to 20 minutes for a more cakey texture.

Regarding the chocolate, use whatever dark, low carb chocolate you usually use. 85% or 90% (like this one) usually contain very little sugars and carbs and are keto diet friendly.
